Russia launched a carrier rocket carrying a U.S. telecommunications satellite from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan early Friday. The Intelsat-16 satellite was developed by Orbital Sciences Corporation for the Intelsat Ltd., a leading provider of satellite services worldwide.
