Auction For Indian 3G Spectrum Moved To April 19th

The long delayed auction of 3G spectrum in India has been given a new date – April 9, 2010. Sweedish Carrier Tele2 CEO Walks Out On Company

Harri Koponen, the chief of Swedish carrier Tele2, has walked out citing “irreconcilable differences” with the company. Koponen joined Tele2 in 2008 as president and CEO and oversaw a period of increased focus on profitability, with a refocusing of the company’s footprint in Russia and the CIS.

Vodafone Revenues Rise 10% in 2009

Vodafone, the world’s biggest operator by revenues said Thursday that group revenue increased ten per cent year on year to £11.5bn in the quarter ended December 31 2009, compared to £10.47bn in the same quarter in 2008. Revenue for the full year came in at £41bn, up from £35bn in 2008.

Vodafone Hints at Layoffs, Profits Climb
